What is SOC 2 Type 2?

The System and Organisation Controls 2 (SOC 2) is an external audit of an organisation's processes for privacy and information security. The SOC 2 Type 2 certification serves as evidence that an organisation meets or exceeds the standards established by American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Unlike SOC 2 Type 1, which evaluates controls at a single point in time, Type 2 demonstrates ongoing control performance over an extended period.
