Background

UDC Finance is one of the largest finance companies in New Zealand. A big part of their business is providing car finance to dealerships and their customers. UDC also lends funds directly to customers for vehicles, large pieces of machinery, and equipment including trucks, diggers, and aircraft.


The Challenge

As a finance company that deals with legal documents, UDC needs accurate address information to ensure that they are legally binding. Prior to using Addressfinder, UDC had a complex solution. It required a monthly download of the PAF file that sat within a backend application. They would then run programs to read their customer’s file, extract address data from it, and run it through the backend application. This would provide fixes to the addresses that would be updated by another set of batch programs, or would require manual repair where the address change could not be automated.
